These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the SUMMIT Roofing Co. website and your engagement of our roofing services. By accessing our website or entering into a service agreement with us, you agree to these Terms in full. Please read them carefully before proceeding.
By using this website or signing a project proposal or contract with SUMMIT Roofing Co. ("SUMMIT," "we," "us," or "our"), you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, have the legal authority to enter into this agreement, and accept these Terms without modification.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of our website or services following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
SUMMIT provides residential and commercial roofing services including installation, replacement, repair, inspection, and related work as described in individual project proposals. All services are subject to a separate written agreement signed by both parties prior to commencement of work.
We reserve the right to decline any project at our discretion. Submission of an estimate request does not guarantee service availability or scheduling.
All written estimates provided by SUMMIT are valid for 30 days from the date of issuance unless otherwise stated. Estimates are based on conditions visible at the time of inspection. Additional costs may arise if concealed damage, structural issues, or code-required upgrades are discovered during the project. Any such changes will be communicated in writing and require your approval before work proceeds.
Free inspections are provided as a courtesy and do not obligate you to engage our services.
Payment terms are specified in your individual project contract. Typical terms require a deposit prior to material ordering, with the balance due upon project completion and your written satisfaction confirmation. Accepted payment methods include check, bank transfer, and major credit cards.
SUMMIT provides a 25-year workmanship warranty on all installation and replacement projects, covering defects attributable to our labor and installation practices. This warranty is transferable to subsequent property owners.
The workmanship warranty does not cover:
Manufacturer warranties on materials are separate from our workmanship warranty and are governed by each manufacturer's terms. We will assist you in registering applicable manufacturer warranties at project close.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, SUMMIT's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the specific project giving rise to the claim.
SUMMIT shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of use, loss of revenue, or damage to personal property not directly caused by our negligence.
By engaging our services, you grant SUMMIT and its employees reasonable access to your property for the purposes of inspection, estimation, and performance of contracted work. We will take reasonable precautions to protect your property, landscaping, and personal belongings during all phases of work. All debris and waste materials will be removed from your property upon project completion.
You may cancel a signed project contract within 3 business days of signing without penalty, in accordance with Connecticut state law. Cancellations made after this period may be subject to costs already incurred for materials ordered or work performed. Notice of cancellation must be provided in writing to info@summitroofing.com or by certified mail to our office address.
We are committed to resolving any concerns promptly and fairly. If you have a complaint, please contact us directly first. Most issues are resolved within 5 business days.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, both parties agree to submit the matter to binding arbitration in Fairfield County, Connecticut, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Each party will bear its own costs unless the arbitrator rules otherwise.
These Terms and any service agreements are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal proceedings not subject to arbitration shall be brought exclusively in the courts of Fairfield County, Connecticut.
